Equipping families with knowledge, skills, and confidence
Warrior Kids offers sessions to self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants, and privately funded clients. We align our prices with the NDIS pricing list for all one-on-one sessions.
We tailor each session specifically to meet the goals of each little warrior. This might mean working on things including (but not limited to):
communication: this includes verbal and non-verbal
emotional regulation: working through those big feelings, expressing ourselves
social skills: taking turns, playing with others
fine motor: using our hands for all those little movements
gross motor: using our bodies for all those big movements
Imagine the first six years of a child's life are like being on a rocketship. It goes fast, and they shoot for the stars. Early intervention helps to steer that rocketship to keep going up and up. With a bit of extra love and support from healthcare professionals and services like Warrior Kids, we can see great improvements in our children's development. It might mean they need less support as they get older, or the support may continue if needed. Early intervention is here to help before we get off course, it keeps us going and growing on our journey.
During your first session, we will work together to decide how you would like to set up your time with Warrior Kids. The amount and frequency are your decision, and we can discuss what would work best for you and your warrior.
We like to say that our little warriors are "sparkly". Maybe they catch your eye, they stand out, there is something that you keep noticing. Best way to know for sure? Speak to a paediatrician. They have your child's best interests in mind, and there are always plenty of options to help. Your child's teacher at school or daycare may suggest seeing a doctor as well, and they might write a letter to help outline the "sparkles". Contact us if you're not sure, or feeling overwhelmed by the whole process, we are here to offer advice along this journey.
We offer schools seminars and training to best support these little warriors, and help teachers feel more confident in the classroom. Warrior Kids also hosts workshops and information sessions for families to attend, where we share strategies to help every child thrive at school. We understand the importance of community, and working together with families and schools to see every learner succeed.
